About

As a mother, endorsed midwife & lactation consultant, I see far too often the lack of support for new mothers in the community.

I offer a range of service options to help you reach your goals including in-home consultations, telehealth consultations as well as being able to prescribe medication to save you a trip to the doctor.

As an endorsed midwife, all of my services can be bulk-billed for the first 6 weeks and 6 days post birth meaning you are left with little to no out of pocket expenses so you have one less thing to worry about.

My Story

Hi, I’m Sarah!

My journey in women’s healthcare started in 2010 where I worked as a neonatal nurse at PCH for 4 years. During this time I became a Registered Midwife and then secured my dream job, working at a birthing centre in Perth as a Clinical Midwife. This fulfilled my passion for minimal intervention births and increased my appreciation for continuity of care where I was able to care for women during their pregnancy, birthing experience and postnatal period.

In 2016 my son was born via a beautiful natural water birth and I was lucky enough to breast feed him until 17 months of age despite many breastfeeding challenges (tongue tie, reflux & mastitis to name a few!).

The support I received from some incredibly knowledgeable lactation consultants inspired me to complete my certification in lactation consulting, after which I was able to earn a job as a lactation consultant at the very same hospital I was working at.

In 2019 my daughter was born via emergency caesarean section at just 25 weeks gestation. After spending 17 gruelling weeks in the NICU at King Edward Memorial Hospital, my daughter was released from hospital and is now a happy and healthy girl. With incredible support along the way, I managed to breastfeed her for 2 years - despite a hospital admission for severe mastitis, nipple shields, attachment issues, managing oversupply & so on!

Since then I have completed extra study to become an endorsed midwife and have completed my prescriber course to allow me to prescribe particular medications as well as provide referrals to specialists as needed, as well as being able to bulk-bill for the majority of the services I provide.

I believe that caring for a baby is one of the most special things in life, but for many women it isn't easy and may present with many challenges, especially when you are suffering from exhaustion, anxiety and information overload. My goal is to help women to slow down in this fast paced, busy world, full of overwhelming expectations for new mothers.

I offer a holistic approach to post-natal and lactation support, helping you navigate your transition to motherhood, feeding challenges & to encourage you to trust your maternal instincts.
